How is the course presented?

You will receive:

• Introduction to best practice
• Guide to essential excel shortcuts
• Introduction to key modeling concepts
• Modeling exercises that build up best practice modeling experience and use the key modeling concepts
• Best Practice model examples for your own comparison
• Feedback on each of your models (subject to membership type)

We use a simple series of lessons that will take you from the basics of excel modelling to much more complex models.  Each lesson is provided with a best practice example in excel so that you can inspect exactly how we have modelled it.  We also provide feedback by e.mail, phone or skype.

Can I upgrade?

You can upgrade your membership at any time subject to availability.  Just contact us at info@indexmatch.co.uk.

What does certification get me?

We have 3 basic tests, 3 intermediate tests and 3 advanced tests. You can take them as additional assignments or arrange with us a time to take them in Modelling Test conditions. We send you the test and you send it back an hour later. We then assess the test and provide you with a PASS / FAIL grade and feedback. This can be invaluable practice.

Do you offer any other type of courses?

As well as the standard packages we do offer ‘emergency’ courses.  If you have a modeling test or job interview coming up and want to prepare for these we are happy to help.  Please contract us at info@indexmatch.co.uk.

Who are your trainers?

Our trainers have many years of experience managing and developing excel modelers for financial institutions and commercial enterprises.  They have also worked on major acquisitions and modeling projects so you will learn the actual tips, tricks and styles that will allow you to succeed.

Why are there three pricing plans?

At IndexMatch we are passionate about improving business analytics. That is why we have a very generously priced Silver membership plan so that this course *is* affordable to you.

Why is the course online?

We know that the best way of learning technical skills is in your own time and at your own pace with lots of examples and lots of opportunity to practice.

Do you have suggestions as to how to use the feedback?

You can use the feedback however you choose. For example you could choose to book an intensive session with us or have some feedback on most lessons. People who are new to modeling often find that it is worth having an intensive first session to go through the whole of the basic course. People who have mastered the basics often like to use feedback to prepare for interview modeling test and interview case studies.

Why is there limited availability on feedback?

Ensuring high quality feedback is essential to us. So we only take on a limited number of students at a time.

What does Feedback consist of?

We will give feedback on any modeling assignments. This will take the form of comments on how the best practice rules have been applied and what changes we recommend to improve flexibility.

How many hours of personal feedback do I get?

That depends on which membership plan you choose. The Silver plan has no personal feedback, the Gold plan entitles you to 3 hours of personal feedback, and the Platinum plan entitles you to 5 hours of feedback.

What are your terms and conditions?

All rights and materials are the property of IndexMatch. Your log in is for your own personal use only. Any breach of these terms will results in immediate termination of your membership.

How long does membership last?

All membership plans give you 6 month access to course materials.

Can I extend my access?

Yes. Please contact us for more details and extended membership pricing.

Why do you use PayPal?

PayPal offers all the security you require for making payment online. There are also links to pay by credit or debit card if you don’t have a PayPal account.
